Cultivating a Distinct Brand Identity

Introduction

The objective of the project was to create a distinct and identifiable logo mark for GAC Imports, intended for use across marketing and digital platforms such as their website and social media channels.

GAC Imports specializes in providing shipping, importation, and logistics services to businesses in need of manufacturing or agricultural machinery, tools, and equipment. The company was founded by Geoffrey Cousins and his son, Alexander Cousins, during the COVID-19 pandemic. They identified a significant gap in the agricultural sector and decided to establish GAC Imports to meet the equipment supply needs of farmers and manufacturers.

Scope of work

The scope of the project encompassed the creation of a unique logo mark, the selection of supporting fonts for the brand, and the suggestion of a brand pattern.
One of the main challenges in this project was to create a logo mark that could encapsulate the essence of the GAC Imports brand without relying on the most obvious or generic representations often associated with importation and logistics.

Creative process

To kickstart the creative process, a mood board was crafted to provide inspiration. This mood board served as a visual guide to explore various design possibilities. Several sketches were then developed based on the selected mood board, ultimately leading to the creation of an icon. This icon was shared with the client for review and feedback.
